Connection – a mural by Leans, is a celebration of the Lanescape theme Connect.
Reflecting the thriving community of Goondiwindi and its diverse inhabitants, the artwork incorporates many different textures, colours and forms taken from the surrounding built and natural environment.
Colours, textures and patterns featuring local flora, agricultural crops, and architectural references from iconic buildings such as: The Victoria Hotel, Water Towers, and The MacIntyre River Bridge, collide in geometric harmony to bring together a unified vision of community connection.
Interactive elements featuring the physical texture of artificial grass and render enhance the concept of connectivity by engaging audiences in the artwork. These textures and 3D elements invite audience interaction through tactile experiences which aim to encourage experiential moments and photographic opportunities through connection to place.
